The gentleman below is Mr. Dallas Ellis. He is smug and arrogant. He is also a walking, talking example of what a lack of scientific education can do to a person. 

Mr. Ellis is making a statement before the Florida state Board of Education during hearings regarding proposed changes to the state science curriculum. The Board will vote of the matter this Tuesday, February 19, 2008. 

If you've ever watched Richard Dawkins' unfortunately-titled documentary, "The Root of All Evil," you have seen this smarmy attitude before from the gay-prostitute-hiring, meth-smoking, born-again whack job Ted Haggard. Of course, Haggard's extra-curricular activities are in no way relevant to the truth or falsity of what he claims to believe, but the schadenfreude of his subsequent crash-and-burn was very emotionally satisfying.

Ted really gets rolling at about 5:00. My favorite line from Haggard is "Don't be arrogant." I loved it.
