Get Set For The End---2008!
Perhaps you are not aware of the wingnut known as Ronald Weinland. Never mind, neither was I until I read about his book on Skepchick. The book is called 2008: God's Final Witness, and it's available as a free PDF. It better be free. No one in his right mind would ever pay for this crap.
Now I know that people have been predicting the end of days and the Return of Jesus for as long as Jesus people have been around, but I have to give Ronald Weinland credit: he's saying it's about to happen. Like next week! Check out his blog entry from his personal web site, ronaldweinland.com:
My wife and I, as well as Johnny and Myrtle Harrell, will be visiting Israel from April 14th through April 21st. We will be in Jerusalem on April 17th which is the day the First Trumpet of the Seventh Seal sounds. The process of all that will occur, with the sounding of the First Trumpet, will begin on April 17th and continue to increase in destructive power (consequences) for the following seven weeks. The Second Trumpet will not sound until after the Day of Pentecost. This does not mean it is near that date, but it means it cannot happen until after that day. (Emphasis added)

Thank goodness he lets us know that this is "NON-Fiction"!
I tried to read it all, but it's really boring. One thing that was interesting to find out was that the United States will be only 1/3 destroyed along with most of the western world...these are "end-times"...but, I'm confused because this sets up 1000 years of rule under one nation and one god. With 1000 years left, how can we talk of "end-...oh no, I've become more stupider!
