TEARING DOWN THE HOUSE
TEARING DOWN THE HOUSE

Last year, after 20 years of renting houses a week at a time every Summer on Cape Cod, we have taken the plunge and bought a place. Our major criterion was that it had to be ON THE WATER, and folks, this place has a front row seat on Cape Cod Bay. It's one of those rare places on the US east coast where the sun sets over water, and it is truly spectacular.
Trouble is, the house itself is a cracker box. It was never intended as a year-round residence, and we love the Cape in the Winter almost as much as in the Summer. But the house was uninsulated, had a barely functioning furnace, and was built very cheaply. It was also too small. So what did we decide to do with our new house? That's right—tear it down!
Here, for your viewing pleasure, is the demolition of our old cape house, to make way for our new cape house. Enjoy it!
